  • Felix Torres

    Managing Director
    Artistic Director and Principal Conductor

    Felix Torres maintains a demanding schedule as Music and Artistic Director of the Mesquite (Texas) Symphony Orchestra and the East Texas Youth Orchestra. He served as Apprentice Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and has worked with various youth orchestras in Texas and Illinois, including the Fort Worth Youth Orchestras.

    Felix is Chief Operating Officer of The Conducting Institute and Managing Director of FILARMONIKA Music Publishing, which is dedicated to the promotion and performance of music from Latin America. He is Co-Chair of the Wright Torres Foundation.

    Felix earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree, a Master of Music degree in Wind Conducting, and a Master of Music degree in Orchestral Conducting from Texas Christian University. At TCU, he served as Graduate Conductor of the TCU Bands and as Assistant Conductor of the TCU Symphony Orchestra.

  • Miguel Harth-Bedoya

    TXIOS Founder, Artistic Advisor and Guest Conductor

    Miguel Harth-Bedoya is the Mary Franks Thompson Director of Orchestral Studies at Baylor University and Music Director of the Baylor Symphony Orchestra. He holds the distinguished title of Music Director Laureate of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

    He has served as Chief Conductor of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. In 2018, he launched The Conducting Institute (Texas) to teach fundamentals of conducting to students of all levels through an intensive programs, workshops, courses, and seminars.

    Miguel regularly conducts orchestras worldwide including the Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra,

    He is Founder and Director of Caminos del Inka.

    He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School. Texas Christian University recently recognized his achievements by conferring an honorary Doctor of Arts Degree.
